There is a power that comes from biblical truth that cannot be found anywhere else. Many have brought their own slant to the truth that has diminished the effectiveness of that truth. It may still accomplish the goal that they had with it, to perhaps bring a certain obedience to people, but will not build the Kingdom of God. Often time leaders never even realize the amount of their fingerprints that are on God's Word. You see it is the purity of Gods Word that brings freedom from bondage; while contamination creates bondage. A leader may see it as freeing people from the worldliness but they may be creating a different bondage toward religion. The Pharisees were the strictest group around but they were not in the will of God.
Matthew 5:20 for I say unto you, Except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
If we miss this point then we are really missing the whole picture. god is not impressed by our rules. God is not impressed by our obedience to each other. God IS impressed by our obedience to HIM. There is a vast difference in these two actions. Please don't misunderstand this does not mean that we can do anything that we want to, we must still obey the Lord. I know many that think if they are not controlling mens action that they will be completely overtaken by a perverted sin nature. It is as if they are saying that trusting and obeying God is not enough. This could not be farther from the truth. obedience to man beyond what God requires builds Faith in man rather than god.
I am fully persuaded that it is high time to really press into covenant relationship with the God that spoke the world into being. The power of that relationship will create the Sons and Daughters of Zion. blessings and much AGAPE #STILLKEEPINGTHEFAITH
